The Architectural Control Committee has full authority to regulate the use and appearance of the exterior of the Property to assure harmony of external design and location in relation to surrounding buildings and topography. Maintaining, to the extent reasonably practical, the uniformity of external appearance of the improvements located on the Property, including the exterior of Units, will help to conserve the value of the Property for all owners. The power to regulate includes the power to prohibit those exterior uses or activities inconsistent with the provision of the Declaration or contrary to the best interest of other Owners in maintaining the desirability of the Property as a residential community. (Paraphrased - Section 7.2 of the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions). For all home changes that involve expanded porches, concrete (or paver) additions, or anything affecting drainage, the City of Safety Harbor requires a permit. Please present you plan to the City Building Department for Approval before submitting an application with the permit number to the Arch Committee.
An owner has the right to be heard at an ARC meeting regarding a submitted application.
